With the help of Southern Housing contractors and staff we raised an amazing £8720 through match funding.
We applied to the Big Give match funding Christmas campaign back in September then we had to wait over a month to see if we had been accepted. Southern Housing Social Value team got to work finding the perfect contractor to partner with us by pledging £2500.
In October we received the fantastic news that our application was approved. Nationcare Windows took up the challenge of being our pleadge partners and we are very grateful. Without their pledge we wouldn't have been able to continue the process.
We then had to match the pledge by at least £2500 to reach the matching threshold during the campaign in December. Two other contractors stepped in giving two big donations that took us healthily over the threshold - Thank you so much George Jones and Son donation, and Blockbusters Drainage & Plumbing Services.
We also want to say thank you to every Southern Housing staff member that donated to the #ChristmasChallenge, you're awesome.
